You’ve wanted to learn how to surf. You know you have. But you probably thought it you got out there and tried it on your own, you might look silly. Maybe you have had that ‘friend’ who told you to come out and he would teach you, only for him to get so involved and he totally forgot about you. Well, we have your solution - Private Surf Lessons from Innerlight.

We offer two varieties: One on One & Small Group.

One on One
With One on One, you can get a real surfer; we do not send you out with some kid. Either Yancy or JB, both who have been surfing for 30+ years, know how to surf and how to teach you to surf. One on One is an entry level surf instruction course. You will get two hours of solid instruction on everything you need to know from what type of board you need to being up and riding. ($50 per hour with a two hour minimum.)

Small Group
Got some friends that want to learn to surf? Get a group of them together (5 person minimum) and you will again, get that personal instruction that was mentioned above. In the Small Group setting, the instruction ranges from Entry level to Advanced. ($50 per person, 5 person minimum for three hours.)

Board types to learn: Shortboard, Funboard, Longboard & Stand-up Paddleboard.

The still have some waves in the waist high range. It is smaller than yesterday. 10-15 mph E winds will become SE around 10 mph in the afternoon. Water temp 78. Low tide at 8 am. High at 9:30 pm. The surf will be in the thigh high range tomorrow. A cold front will come through friday a blow the Gulf flat but the surf will rebound from the East by Sunday.

The surf is hanging in there one more day in the Chest High range. East winds are blowing at 15-20 mph. We have Choppy, sideshore conditions. Surf will drop some tomorrow and be unrideable by Thursday. Water temp is about 78 & the Tide is Low at 7 AM. High at 9 PM.

A cold front will probably come through Friday a blow the Gulf flat.

We have made a few changes here at Innerlight. We have laid down the wood - literally. When you come in, you will see that there is no more carpet - the whole floor is now decking. Also, the skate section has been almost completely redone. Stop in and take a peek!!

We have a great day ahead but you’re going to have to find something to do rather than surf…cuz there ain’t none. Low tide 5 PM. Water temp 78. The surf will begin picking up out of the east on Sunday. Continued east wind surf next week through mid-week.

The winds went offshore last night and unfortunately, blew the surf down overnight. There are only some leftover Shin to Knee High waves. Not surfable unless you’re on a stand up paddle board. Low tide 4:30 pm. Water temp 78. Our next chance of surf is Sunday.
