There was a time, believe it or not, when our dad was the smartest person we knew. He could fix a car, fix the house, and in our little piece of society, patch our boards. Yancy Spencer III, World Champion Surfer, is the instructor for one on one or small group lessons. At the end of your session, you will have the know how of getting into the water and starting to stand-up.

We will be open for our first day on May 16 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. We are located inside the Pelican Plaza at Craft Farms in Gulf Shores. Come by and check out everything you need on you way to the beach. The water is just about 4 miles from the shop, so you can stock up on all of your needs. Channel Island surfboard? Check. Leash? Got ‘em. Wax? All you’ll ever need. Sunscreen? What SPF are you looking for? Dog ate your Maui’s? Got you covered. Wife accidently shrink your favorite pair of boardshorts? We’ll get you back in the water with the latest in no time.

The surf is hanging in there one more day in the Chest High range. East winds are blowing at 15-20 mph. We have Choppy, sideshore conditions. Surf will drop some tomorrow and be unrideable by Thursday. Water temp is about 78 & the Tide is Low at 7 AM. High at 9 PM.

A cold front will probably come through Friday a blow the Gulf flat.

Have you ever said to yourself, ‘Man, I wish I could try out this board before I plunk down $800 for a board.’? Here is your chance. We had a Demo scheduled earlier, buy Gustav killed our last one with Surftech. Barring any impending storms, we have rescheduled the Demo, where you, the lucky participant, can come out and try standup paddleboarding.

We have some Waist High Choppy, Wind waves out of the SouthEast. The Winds will be SouthEast 5-15 MPH and the Surf will slowly drop today. Low tide around 10 am.

In the Atlantic, Hannah is beginning to move up the East Coast and will be a wave maker for them. Tropical Storm Ike is expected to intensify and head towards the SouthEast Bahamas.
